Mercury’s most powerful multicomputers provide the signal processing support for the world’s most advanced naval surface radar systems, such as AEGIS,
Sampson
, and EMPAR. Recent programs have chosen the PowerStream® 7000, delivering over 1 TFLOPS of total processing power in an air-cooled, deployable chassis. Based on the RapidIO® switch fabric, the PowerStream 7000 offers extreme high-end performance while maximizing processing density (GFLOPS/cubic foot). These systems are also engineered to meet the extreme shock and fast boot requirements of naval surface radar applications.
The PowerStream 7000 is a COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) solution. System performance is optimized by Mercury software, offering a rich cross section of algorithm and data movement libraries, advanced development tools, operating systems, and system diagnostics.
Mercury’s flexible multicomputers are used in support of the radar processing modes employed by naval surface platforms, including inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) and airborne moving target indicator (AMTI).
